Children shine at Claire & Michael’s wedding
August 05, 2009
We thoroughly enjoyed photographing the wedding of Claire & Michael over at Blantyre recently.
There were many notable events. A children’s scramble in tradition of many Scottish weddings took place with the bride’s dad throwing a series of coins over the floor for the children to gather. One of the children at the wedding who suffers from Cerebral Palsy, named Alex, certainly brought a tear to the eye of many adults as she walked down the aisle in advance of the bride and her father and later presented a lucky horse shoe to Claire.
I learned during the day that at one time doctors had advised she may never walk, so it was a very emotional occasion for more reasons than one.
Thanks for allowing us to photograph your wedding and good luck with the future.
