Congratulations to Stuart and Joanne from Dalgety Bay who had a castle wedding at Kilconquhar Castle in Fife recently. There was a lot of “rugby talk” amongst the boys who were keen to demonstrate their “gun” show and during the speeches even re-enacted one of their drinking games that took place during the stag event. After the best man’s efforts successful to fill their glasses I was glad I was holding the camera! The sun certainly shone down upon the both of you!

The skies may have appeared blue in one of the images shown, yet on two recent weddings we covered at Lochside House Hotel in New Cumnock an umbrella was the best investment you could have made if venturing outdoors. Fortunately both brides and grooms on each occasion, (Laura & Paul) & (Paula & Euan) had windows of opportunity to have some outdoor shots. It was also a relief when one of the little boy’s present at the wedding of Paula and Euan had his plastic car fished out of the lake. Nobody was sure who’d thrown it in (though the two year old was keeping silent on that matter!)

Lynsey & Nicholas were recently married at Alloway parish church followed by their reception at the Brig O Doon, also Alloway. The day itself was literally a game of two halves from beating rain throughout the morning and during most of the afternoon to clearer skies as the evening approached. We certainly made the best use of any weather break that was given to us.

I have photographed Kiera on a number of occasions now. Having two young children myself always ensures I’m well versed with the latest happenings on Cbeebies and those other programmes that my children demand I watch from Peppa Pig through to Thomas the Tank Engine (whatever happened to Chorlton and the Wheelies!)
Laura & Jake were recently married at Burnhouse Manor near Beith. There was a great level of planning and detail connected with this wedding, from the sparklers to the cup cakes and even their canine friends that made the occasional appearance. Thanks to Laura and Jake for donating a pack of sparklers too for my young boys at home. I think we all had as much fun twirling those jumbo sparkers at home the next day as the guests on the day itself.

Claire & James were recently married at the Western House Hotel in Ayrshire. We’ve included Grandpa in this blog entry for his fantastic smile! A blazing sun hit the venue and behaved throughout the day! The bride and groom also supported the local Ayrshire Hospice, a worthy charity, by providing the guests a chance to win a sponsored prize.
